Mary Margaret was a sailboat owner and enthusiast in her younger days, and missed her time spent on the open water. Recently, with the help of Pleasant Beach Hotel owners Patti and Tim Lowden and with support of the St. Luke John Foster Burden Fund, she was able to return to enjoy an afternoon pursuing a favorite activity she loved and missed.

Mary Margaret had lots of help from St. Luke staff as she gets ready to head out on her adventure.

The Lowden’s helped make it possible for Mary Margaret and some staff to spend a wonderful afternoon in Fair Haven, starting with lunch at Pleasant Beach, followed by some time on the Lowden’s pontoon boat in the Bay. Some delicious cocktails (Shirley Temples of course) made for what Mary Margaret called, “a marvelous time”.

Thanks to the Lowden’s and our staff for helping to make a resident’s wish of another day “sipping and sailing”, come true.
