Bishop’s Commons at St. Luke in Oswego will host an educational program by the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter entitled, “Dementia Conversations”, on Monday, October 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

This educational program is free of charge and open to the public. Bishop’s Commons is located at 4 Burkle Street, on the St. Luke residential campus in the City of Oswego. Light refreshments will be provided.

When someone shows signs of dementia, it’s time to talk. Often, conversations with family about changing behaviors can be challenging and uncomfortable. This program offers tips on how to have honest and caring conversations to address some of the most common issues.

Topics covered in the program include:

-       Going to the doctor

-       Deciding when to stop driving

-       Making legal and financial plans
